概述
- 产品描述CH25H (Cholesterol 25-hydroxylase), also known as h25OH, is a 272 amino acid endoplasmic membrane protein that belongs to the sterol desaturase family. CH25H contains clusters of histidine residues essential for catalytic activity and is involved in cholesterol and lipid metabolism. CH25H catalyzes the formation of 25-hydroxycholesterol from cholesterol leading to the repression of cholesterol biosynthetic enzymes. CH25H regulates lipid metabolism by synthesizing a corepressor that blocks sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP) processing. CH25H utilizes diiron cofactors to catalyze the hydroxylation of hydrophobic substrates.

Fig1: Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human brain glioma using anti-CH25H antibody. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 8.0-8.4) for 20 minutes.The tissues were blocked in 5% BSA for 30 minutes at room temperature, washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the primary antibodyfor 30 minutes at room temperature. The detection was performed using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
