ClinMax™ Human Interleukin 2 (IL-2) Quantitative ELISA Kit
ClinMax™ Human IL-2 Quantitative ELISA Kit is designed to quantitate human IL-2 that is present in complex biological matrices, such as human serum, plasma, buffered solution, or cell culture. IL-2 is produced by activated T cells and promotes further growth and differentiation of activated T cells. It is a 15.5–16 kDa protein that regulates the activities of white blood cells (leukocytes, often lymphocytes) that are responsible for immunity. IL-2 is part of the body's natural response to microbial infection, and in discriminating between foreign ("non-self") and "self".Its effects include the proliferation of CTL, T-helper cells, and NK cells, while enhancing the secretion of IFN-γ and TNF-α.
This immunoassay is designed to quantitate human IL-2 that is present in human serum, plasma, buffered solution, or cell culture. It has been calibrated against a highly purified human IL-2 and is evaluated with standard from NIBSC/WHO. Reference Reagent Interleukin-2 (Human, rDNA derived) NIBSC code: 86/500.

The unopened kit is stable for 12 months from the date of manufacture if stored at 2°C to 8°C. The opened kit should be stored per components table. The shelf life is 30 days from the date of opening.
