This protein carries an Avi tag (Avitag™) at the C-terminus, followed by a polyhistidine tag.
The protein has a calculated MW of 41.7 kDa. The protein migrates as 55-70 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Biotinylated Human IL-6 R alpha, Avitag,His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 95%.
Immobilized Human IL-6, Tag Free at 5 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Human IL-6 R alpha, Avitag,His Tagwith a linear range of 4-125 ng/mL (QC tested).

Loaded Biotinylated Human IL-6 R alpha, Avitag,His Tag on SA Biosensor, can bind ActiveMax® Human IL-6, Tag Free with an affinity constant of 73.1 nM as determined in BLI assay (ForteBio Octet Red96e) (Routinely tested).
